About

“To send a letter is a good way to go somewhere without moving anything but your heart”  -Phyllis Theroux

This is a blog written mostly in the format of letters- the predecessors to emails. Kindly forget the fact that I’m writing this online, and not on paper. My resolve does waver, and I break this format occasionally.

I write letters to and from basically anyone. By that I don’t mean I post actual letters written by others. I create letters between myself, abstract concepts, fictional characters, and sometimes, even celebrities. Call it epistolary fan fiction, if you will, although I understand the implication that I’m also a fan of myself. I have no defense….only self-obsessed people write personal blogs.

  1. [8>]) I talk to myself a lot, but don’t usually write letters to the world. I love the concept! Your wit is evident with this line “….only self-obsessed people write personal blogs.”. I had a feeling that I was a bit narcissistic, but this proves it, LOL. Thanks for stopping by my little fun house. I’ll be reading your letters regularly.

  2. When I visit a new blog the first thing I notice is the attractiveness or not of the pages. I think you chose a nice theme. Simple and easy to read. And I want to laugh and be entertained by the writer. And I want to read something that isn’t too long. lol After all I have lots of places to go. 🙂 It is so hard to come into the middle of a blog, but I think it will be easy to follow yours.

    • Thank you so much 🙂 I like that in your blog you mention it has no pretension of a common theme. Mine is hanging by a fine thread most days.

  3. This is so original and creative and refreshing! Letters can be so magical and I really love a number of your posts already 🙂 Can’t wait to keep on reading 🙂

  4. Just thought I’d stop by to check out your blog, and I really like it! I try to write my blog as if I’m sending a letter to my readers, but you do a better job of it than me!

    • Unlike you, I haven’t had much experience in taking requests, but I’m open to it. 😉 Should I address it to Ms. Moody-and-Impatient?

      • Oh yes and you can make it to Ms. Moody-and-Impatient-having-a-difficult-time-to-forget-ex-and-marry-current-fiance 😛

        • I’m afraid I only dabble in subjects I have “some” experience in. 😦 You did a very good job expressing that sentiment in your latest post, though.

  5. I began writing letters again this month. Technology certainly has made creating “letters” electronically more easier, faster. However, nothing says “This came from my heart” more than handwriting and pure thought. I like classical writing and the old mediums…

  6. I used to write letters before I had a family and an online life…One day when life slows to a less break-neck pace I will again. Thanks for visiting my blog. Bless you.

  7. What a unique blog! I write letters often, something soothing about setting words on paper or in a card, then affixing the stamp, sealing the envelope; a huge pleasure all round.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
